I am a lecturer with a PhD in art and philosophy—this layered approach informs how I see my work as a Certified Soul Realignment Practitioner and also energy work in general. Someone recently asked me where the name Yarrow Choices came from. I’ve been working with the I Ching for a while and initially was interested in the sound compositions that John Cage made (Music of Changes). Cage was interested in the coin toss approach for producing his compositions, but the yarrow stalk method has always been more effective (if a bit more time consuming).
I also really like the symbolic and healing associations of the yarrow plant (healing, inspiration, in Asia there is a saying that where yarrow grows, one need not fear wild beasts or poison—Achilles supposedly used the plant for healing wounds). I also like the tactile feel of working with yarrow stalks, and I began doing my own sound art compositions. Akashic records reader and energy worker.
